Cast and Crew

For a couple years now, it's been known that Johnny Depp is ready and willing to sink his teeth into the Barnabas Collins role. Depp explains that he was "obsessed" with the Dark Shadows television show when he was young, and has always dreamed of playing Barnabas Collins. Looks like he'll get his chance.

It seems it'll be directed by Tim Burton, a fan favorite for this particular genre. Rumor has it that Danny Elfman (who else?) will be scoring the film.

In a slightly surprising twist however, Seth Grahame-Smith, who "made his Hollywood entry writing novels that put a macabre twist to literary classics and historical figures," (source: Minneapolis Star Tribune), will be writing the script.
